"Senator McCain Is Absolutely Right..." →
That’s according to Obama who said it eight (8) times during their his first presidential debate with McCain. Most pundits say that Obama won, but if you peer through every single detail, McCain was the one who actually won. What kind of candidate tells the world that his opponent is absolutely right eight friggin’ times!? The candidate that will eventually lose the upcoming November...

Two Awesome Animes End
I just finished watching the 25th episodes of both Code Geass R2 and Macross Frontier. Both animes had a deep & twisted storyline, characters with a lot of depth, cutting edge animation and great soundtracks. Code Geass R2 has a surprise in the end and I’m looking forward to an OVA. Macross Frontier was full of nice songs I couldn’t stop listening to them. Onto Gundam 00 S2! =D

Did you know Espresso has the least amount of...
Espresso is made so fast that the process doesn’t really allow the caffeine to be part of the coffee. That’s why brewed coffee by the Americans is stronger than the espress coffee of the Italians. It’s probably also the reason why baristas made Cafe Americano to suit the tastes of Americans using the espresso method of making coffee. It is also to the contrary that bitterness...

On Professionalism
A potential client, while talking to me “off the record”, told me that I should be more “professional” during the first meeting and less friendly. Then maybe after the 2nd or 3rd meeting that’s when I become more friendly. I’ve never felt that feeling before and I’m not sure if my conduct was right or wrong. I attended a gathering in Singapore in behalf...

How do you get customers to trust you?
When you say you get it done and deliver it in less than 24 hours. I made a little booboo at a “Seeing is Believing” event last Monday afternoon with the dates in the software not properly hooked up to the underlying data. I fixed it and sent it back to the client the following morning. According to a person familiar with the situation, she said that her boss was “very...

Battleplan
The latest series I’m watching. It examines various military strategies used in modern warfare since World War I. I have watched the first episode and it’s really awesome that they break down what advantages/disadvantages are gained/lost in each strategy. Episode list as follows: 1. Control of the Air; examples used: Battle of Britain, World War II and First Gulf War 2. Assault From...

Craptastic Dominos Eat All You Can for 99 Pesos
WARNING: DO NOT EAT AT DOMINOS EAT ALL YOU PIZZA CAN FOR 99 PESOS. Here’s my first hand experience with it. My friend and I decided to check it out after having nothing to do on a lazy Sunday. It was 11am when we arrived at their UN Ave. branch in Malate. They told us to go back at 1pm since the pizzas didn’t arrive. They make pizzas there but the *pizzas didn’t arrive yet*. I...

How do you protect a monarchy?
The Saudi Royal Family aka House of Saud has the Saudi Arabian National Guard to protect them in times of trouble. It was established during a period when other Arab monarchies faced coup and rebellion attempts (sometimes involving the standing army). It is approximately 100,000 strong with another 25,000 from tribal militias. But it doesn’t end there. They are equipped with armored...

Palin E-mail Hacker Says It Was Easy →
The spread of information and the advent of social networking will severely make the cracks in identity security more visible. One of the reasons why I’m still not going to maintain an online profile on sites like Facebook because it can be social engineered. Too risky.

I read Seth Godin’s original article on why Firefox is missing the point. You should read that first before reading the abovementioned link. So, Firefox needs to add functionality that makes the surfing experience better for...

Conversations with a Filipino Muslim
I couldn’t sleep last night so I visited a friend of mine in another room who happened to have a Filipino Muslim roommate. We had some pretty interesting talks. Here’s the gist of it all. 1. It’s true that Arab-Muslim men rape other men especially British foreigners. They do it because it’s not much of a sin (to them) unlike raping a woman. Scary shit. 2. Arabs have...

Google collects a ton of personal information although they say that they do not personally identify you (in most cases). Here’s how to get under their radar. Google serves advertisements via Adwords/Adsense and DoubleClick. They collect information so that they can better serve their advertisers. I hate advertising and that’s the reason why I use Adblock Plus. To opt out of...

Why I’m never, ever going to use Chrome. It’s insanely absurd. If I agree, they can use content I’ve made. And on top of that, they can push ads directly to the browser (soon?). That’s just a load of ‘what the fuck’ right there.
