Why Smart is NOT the leading mobile operator in...
They don’t have a friggin’ data plan. They only have data plans for Blackberries. I want to switch to Smart because their mobile internet is much more reliable. How can you be a leader without a data plan?!

Rundown of My iPhone Apps and Mac Counterparts
Format is <iPhone App> - <Mac App> - <Syncing/Import/Export Method>
1. Newsstand - NetNewsWire - Google Reader 2. Fliq Notes - Yojimbo - Missing Sync for iPhone 3. Fliq Tasks - Apple To Do - Missing Sync for iPhone 4. iXpenseIt - MoneyWell - WiFi Export feature of iExpenseIt and Import to MoneyWell
All work flawlessly. Life is great.
iXpenseIt is the Best On-the-go Expense Tracking...
Finally found the best solution to my mobile expenses recording problem while MoneyWell for the iPhone is still in development. It’s going to be out by Summer 2010 and will initially only support MobileMe for syncing - bummer. So for now I’ll go with iXpenseIt’s WiFi CSV/HTML export and import it to MoneyWell.
Best 5 USD ever.
Ninja Assassin = Bloody Awesome
The Wachowski brothers bring Matrix-style action scenes to Ninja fights. Loved the chain-blade fight scenes as well as the zoom-in/out + slow mo/speed up effects. Oh yeah, there’s lots of blood too. Not for the faint of heart.
App Store Genius eases life for finding apps
With over 100k apps in the App Store, the Genius feature really helps out. Instead of sitting down and sifting through the apps available in iTunes, I can just lie down in bed and keep getting suggestions from the Genius feature. Neat stuff.

My Take on the App Store
I believe that there are just too many damn apps doing almost the same thing in almost the same way. To name a few, they are:
1. Camera apps 2. Fart apps 3. Todo apps
In my opinion, Apple should tighten the App Store approval process instead because growing it beyond 100k apps seem to be more counterproductive. I can’t find what I need because its so cluttered with junk. Too many...

Pocket Universe for the iPhone. It’s the first ever paid app I bought. And it absolutely rocks!
Quite accurate with its use of GPS, compass and accelerometer to pinpoint objects in the night sky. It was able to properly assist me in locating the Moon (I’m not blind, just wanted to make sure it works right). Near the Moon to the east-southeast was Formalhaut, one of the brightest stars...
Parents' Solution to Low Grades for a Med Student

What do you do when you've got a lot of free space...
Bring the work with you! Okay, that doesn’t sound very sexy. But still… I can finally try to move around without a laptop.
I can demo QlikView on the iPhone with the native app. I have the user manuals, pricing & licensing schemes, and proposals within Fliq Docs.
I really should visit a prospect and not bring a laptop. I think that would be über cool.
The future is truly here.

Pure bliss.
Missing iPhone apps
Yojimbo is my choice for jotting down and organizing notes. The iPhone app isn’t confirmed yet and the intermediate workarounds with SimpleNote are simply inelegant.
MoneyWell is on it’s way with version 1.5 for the Mac and iPhone app too be both released soon. Using PocketMoney with SyncDocs simply doesn’t cut it because of the export-import hassle.
Too bad it’s still...

Jailbreaking won't work for me...
I saw the availability of apps via Cydia and the many repositories and they just don’t seem to have the apps I want.
Of course I can jailbreak for other reasons such as using unaccepted apps and extremely minute customization, but in the process I will be having unacceptable performance and instability.
Seems I won’t be jailbreaking my iPhone anytime soon.

Professional iPhone ringtones. I can’t tell you how awesome they sound. You gotta visit the site to hear their limited preview. They come in both Active Grade (high pitched - perfect for loud environments) and Meeting Grade (subtle - perfect for meetings). I’m leaning towards Origins but Zen 2 is also kinda cool. Just check out a few of their endorsements:

Bringing in the Cavalry
In light of the turnout that a prospect is favoring our competitor, we’re bringing in the cavalry by flying in the two of the most senior people in the Asia Pacific from our principal.

How can a company decide on a 5-year purchase plan...
Totally unbelievable how a bunch of IT peeps can decide on acquiring software and services.
Everyone knows how the initial buy-in is done. Software firms drop 80% to get in and recoup the income in the next 5 years via 16-25% in annual maintenance/support renewals.
Product offerings can change, the economic climate affecting the US Dollar can also change. Heck a lot of things can change!

PC Users Secretly Want to Jump Ship and Use a Mac...
In almost every business meeting I’m in, everybody notices that I uses a Mac.
The surprising part is that in any major discussion, some guy has to always cut the conversation short by saying how Macs are the best machines to run Vista (read through Lifehacker) or ask what virtualization software I use (probably researching to move to a Mac). They know about Parallels Desktop and VMWare...

Small companies are great to work for especially when you don’t really have to stick to a 9-5 schedule.

Even 'Professional' Photographers Don't Have a...
I’m creating version 3 of my family’s hotel website and I had to bring up the fact that one of the well-known photography outfits in Bacolod City doesn’t have a method for snapping photos. The lack of photos forced me to reuse old ones which of course did not look all that well with the new ones. They also look dated - really dated.
