Nice way to screw over your customers.
MS Gemini is Qlikview with an Excel interface, delivered 13 years later.

Sounds like someone could do it 13 years ago but didn’t. Again, it’s like the car industry.

Apple Mail Alternate Row Colors
I liked Mozilla Thunderbird’s feature wherein each message row when viewing a list of emails is alternating in color. Apple Mail doesn’t have that. The fix? See below.
First you need to install Apple Developer Tools from the CDs that came with your Mac.
Next browse to Applications in the Finder.
Control-click on Mail and select Duplicate so you have a backup.
Control-click on Mail...
Make Apple Mail + Mozilla Firefox Love Each Other
OS integration is nice, but 3rd party browsers ain’t. Ran into this problem when I switched to Apple Mail from Mozilla Thunderbird.
Problem: Clicking on links inside emails in Apple Mail does not open in Mozilla Firefox.
Solution: Open Safari. Go to Preferences. Set default web browser to Firefox. Select it manually if you have to.
Solution if the solution does not work: Navigate to...
Finally dumped Thunderbird. Can't beat Apple Mail...

Microsoft Consumer Products, Efficiency &...
I don’t get it why people using the latest builds (technology previews, in MS parlance) are boasting about running Win7 and Office 2010 on a Netbook.
These people are boasting that the next-generation of products for consumers from Microsoft are now efficient enough to run on a netbook.
Both Vista and Office 2007 should’ve been efficient enough to run on a netbook from the very...

Things I Can Improve on My Thesis
I’ve had the opportunity to work on a mini project for a partner of one of the world’s largest remittance companies. This gave me better insight on the many aspects of my thesis that my ‘mates and I have not considered given the nature (domestic remittance), the lack of experience working with competent people running an actual remittance business and of course, access to the...

Incremental Is Pointless and so is Chrome
First off, what I don’t understand is why all these browsers always publish speed increases for JavaScript. I mean, a small speed increase is barely noticeable because it’s in the milliseconds.
Second, why the heck is Chrome really boasting about it? Is it to speed up JavaScript in order to server up more mundane, pointless and crap ads in less time to the user’s face?

They seldom click on any kind of advertising, and they never buy anything because of the advertising.
